My Websites

Blockhouse Bay Tennis Club

I did a rather amateur website for the Blockhouse Bay Tennis Club, at the request of my dad. I have to admit I didn't really put a lot of thought into it (Some dude even emailed me trying to be all snobbish about it too), but I was happy to have it off my hands. The new site has a far nicer layout...but maybe its user-friendliness could be improved.

Zap Restaurants

As a result of doing the Blockhouse Bay Tennis Club site, one of the members asked me if I could do a website for his restaurant, a chain of Thai restaurants. I made the two sites quite similar (I still didn't have much experience at this point) and looking back, it's quite horrendous as a website and I wish I could have done better. But once again, it's out of my hands.

Web Challenge 2002

In 2002, Mat, Hsin-Yao and I entered the NZoom Web Challenge with a site about DNA. It actually looks really nice, and I'm quite proud of what we did. It earned us second place and a free Macromedia package.

Web Challenge 2003

In 2003, Mat, Simon and I (Hsin-Yao had left school) entered the NZoom Web Challenge again with a website on organic chemistry. Once again, we did a pretty good job with it - this is the only website I've done that uses ASP. The quiz took bloody ages to script. Our hard work earned us third place, and a cool optical mouse that I am still using. We were lucky we didn't get second place, because the prize for that was lame.

Final Fantasy Visions

In one of Psypoke's reincarnations, we made it into an "everything" site, and one of the subsites was a Final Fantasy section. I've redone the template, but the information is mostly still there. Many thanks to darkmind, Amphy and Yadoking for their work on this quiet section of Psypoke! I still use it, even if no one else does.

Fountain of Dreams

Another of the subsites was a Super Smash Bros section. It's long since gone since we didn't have enough people working on it, but I decided one day to randomly make a template for it. By the way, Kirby is cute!

Psypoke

The website that I have invested the most time in is Psypoke. You should read the history as to how the site came about, and the trials and tribulations we went through. Although I'm not officially a webmaster there anymore, I'm still behind the scenes, helping out and updating without credit. That way I don't get mobbed by retards from the forums.

Ignite Youths

Reuben and I worked together to create a website for our youth group. Reuben's a fantastic graphics designer, and given my lack of artistic ability, I was really glad that he has enough talent to share around. It's still a work in progress though - Reuben wants to redesign bits and pieces, and use CSS to structure the site nicely. Weng-Hao also seems keen on helping out - I need to train the both of them up before I leave for Wellington!
